    Elizabeth Taylor for sure

  • 6 LISA MORTON // May 17, 2011 at 12:12 pm

The late Elizabeth Taylor had some of the most extravagant pieces of jewelry. Very memorable.

  • 7 Charlotte Cicale // May 17, 2011 at 12:12 pm

I’m giggling at the question… OLD Hollywood actress. I don’t think they’d like that too much. Maybe who in the PAST? LOL! I’d say Liz Taylor followed by Audrey Hepburn.

  • 8 carmen sanchez // May 17, 2011 at 12:12 pm

I have picked up this book a few times at work and glanced at it i would love to own a copy so I may linger lol

    Audrey Hepburn

  • 12 mary ann krutsinger // May 17, 2011 at 12:13 pm

Audrey Hepburn, there was a quiet sophistication to her and the jewelry she wore…

  • 13 Jillian Rzepka // May 17, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I would have to say Elizabeth Taylor as well.

  • 14 Lesley Hahn // May 17, 2011 at 12:15 pm

Marilyn holds a special place in my heart for many reasons so I’ll stick with her jewelry, too!

  • 15 Christie M // May 17, 2011 at 12:16 pm

Grace Kelly! Her style, including her jewelry, were classic, inspiring and above all, glamorous- and that only increased once she became a real life princess.

  • 16 Judy Gibson // May 17, 2011 at 12:16 pm

    Liz Taylor!

    Elizabeth Taylor!

  • 21 Mary Heimerman // May 17, 2011 at 12:21 pm

I have to agree with Liz and Audrey.
But I’ve been having a ball jewelry-spotting on the TV series “Bones”. They have some amazing pieces – especially on the star Emily Deschanel, but also on the other principal women. I’d really like to know who’s designing that stuff! It’s much more in my league.

  • 22 Janie Tountas // May 17, 2011 at 12:21 pm

Probably Liz Taylor. She even inspired and named a perfume – White Diamonds. How much more fabulous can that be.

  • 23 JOANNE LOUISE SAUNDERS // May 17, 2011 at 12:21 pm

elizabeth taylor what a beautiful woman plus she had great taste in jewellery

  • 24 Stacy // May 17, 2011 at 12:22 pm

Definitely Elizabeth Taylor, but so many of the actresses in the 1950s and 60s wore glamorous clothing and accessories.

  • 25 Renee // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

I’d have to say that the most inspiring for me would be a toss up between the simplicity of Audrey Hepburn and the extravagance of Elizabeth Taylor.

  • 26 Jazz W. // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Cyd Charisse or Josephine Baker! Both had movies and style to match!

  • 27 Nancy Harrison // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

When I think of jewelry, I think of Elizabeth Taylor. White Diamonds.

  • 28 Niki // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Oh, I would definitely say Elizabeth Taylor. She had some of the most fabulous bling of her time! Audrey Hepburn had some great glitz, too!

  • 29 Nan // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

Liz Taylor and her collection is for sale!

  • 30 maria // May 17, 2011 at 12:23 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor,FOR SURE

  • 31 Tammy Roush // May 17, 2011 at 12:25 pm

I have to go with Elizabeth Taylor too. The pieces she wore in the movies and in pictures were and still are awesome!!!!! Nothing better than using any of the Swarovski Elements in any creation :)

  • 32 Barbara Holbrook // May 17, 2011 at 12:25 pm

I believe Elizabeth Taylor would take this prize! Lovely settings and AMAZING stones, and in her real life, as well. One can only dream.

  • 33 robbin christein // May 17, 2011 at 12:26 pm

I think Liz Taylor, but also Jane Russell , as well as Ginger Rogers

  • 34 Stacy // May 17, 2011 at 12:27 pm

I think I’d have to say Grace Kelly because she actually had jewelry that was in royal collections and was just so beautiful.

  • 35 Christine Wilson // May 17, 2011 at 12:28 pm

I have to agree, Elizabeth Taylor hands down. Liz, as well as the men in her life, had excellent taste in jewelry.

  • 36 Carol K. // May 17, 2011 at 12:29 pm

In addition, let’s not forget the influence of both Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly.

Liz Taylor owned the rock of all rocks!!!

  • 41 Donna Kishbaugh // May 17, 2011 at 12:37 pm

When it comes to glamorous jewelry, I think Mae West had it! She wasn’t afraid to wear bold pieces during a time when most women wore very little jewelry. She was also known for adding lots of layers, whether it was layered pearls, diamond bracelets, or fancy rings…she wasn’t afraid to pour it on… and how she dressed truly matched her personality. Any woman who can say, “I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number you get in a diamond” is not afraid of who she is.

  • 42 leigh // May 17, 2011 at 12:39 pm

Well all the women named so far but of them all Audrey Hepburn is definitely my fave. She was gorgeous, fashionable and glamorous.

  • 43 Brenda Brauner // May 17, 2011 at 12:42 pm

Yeah, everyone is going to put down the big 3: Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn. My vote is for Jane Russell. She wore jewelry a lot and had a penchant for chandelier earrings.

  • 44 Amy T // May 17, 2011 at 12:43 pm

I’m going with Sophia Loren! And that’s final! :)

  • 45 Sandra // May 17, 2011 at 12:44 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor

  • 46 Patricia Koko // May 17, 2011 at 12:45 pm

I find it hard to single one out….Grace, Audrey and Liz all brought the joy and beauty of great jewelry to the screen and in real life for all to appreciate.

  • 47 Laura Walech // May 17, 2011 at 12:48 pm

There were so many…. Elizabeth Taylor, ZsaZsa Gabor, Audrey Hepburn… I saw a movie the other day with Doris Day … and she had on a gorgeous necklace! The styles then were so glamorous.

  • 48 Lorie // May 17, 2011 at 12:48 pm

I would have to say Elizabeth Taylor. She wore the most beautiful jewelery on screen and off.

  • 49 Barb Raven // May 17, 2011 at 12:50 pm

Elizabeth Taylor – on & off screen!!

  • 50 Lorie // May 17, 2011 at 12:50 pm

I would have to say Elizabeth Taylor. Hands down, she wore the most beautiful and inspiring jewelery on screen and off.

  • 51 tati // May 17, 2011 at 12:51 pm

Elizabeth Taylor had THE most magnificent jewels!

  • 52 Cindy // May 17, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Grace Kelly had the most stunningly refined sense off taste & style….her jewellery was delicious!

  • 53 Mary H // May 17, 2011 at 1:04 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor for certain!!

  • 54 Frann R // May 17, 2011 at 1:08 pm

Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn had classic, timeless style. Elizabeth Taylor had extravagant style. All three ladies wore everything with such elegance.

  • 55 Linda C // May 17, 2011 at 1:11 pm

    Absolutely Grace Kelly!

  • 56 Patti Panuccio // May 17, 2011 at 1:20 pm

    Jean Harlow

  • 57 Melanie // May 17, 2011 at 1:21 pm

Marilyn Monroe, Lana Turner, and Jane Russell.

  • 58 Cyndi Tam // May 17, 2011 at 1:24 pm

Liz Taylor, without a doubt, had the most inspiring and glamorous collection of jewelry. She wore her gems like no other. I think Princess Diana was a close runner up. Her style was classy….more subdued. I also love the way Sophia Loren evoked sexiness and boldness.

  • 59 Yolanda // May 17, 2011 at 1:27 pm

I’d have to give it to Audrey Hepburn for ageless class, tho Elizabeth Taylor had some pretty classic pieces too…

  • 60 Deborah G // May 17, 2011 at 1:29 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn!

  • 61 Cynthia // May 17, 2011 at 1:31 pm

    Audrey Hepburn ..classy
    Betty Davis..unique

  • 62 Frances Kiperman // May 17, 2011 at 1:35 pm

Of course Elizabeth Taylor comes to mind. Especially with her recent passing and the concern over her jewels. Just gorgeous. As a disabled artist I find the art of jewelry making relaxing and therapeutic, and I just giggle when I make a sale. I enjoy having others proudly wear my unique pieces.

  • 63 Donna // May 17, 2011 at 1:37 pm

Liz Taylor comes to mind first but there were so many glamorous actresses with fabulous jewelry! Grace Kelly certainly needs to be mentioned and Princess Diana can’t be left out!

  • 64 Mel // May 17, 2011 at 1:39 pm

Sophia Loren!! Looks like a neat book!

  • 65 Karin // May 17, 2011 at 1:43 pm

    Audrey Hepburn

  • 68 Patricia // May 17, 2011 at 2:02 pm

My vote goes for Elizabeth Taylor!

  • 69 Janet Wehlitz // May 17, 2011 at 2:05 pm

Aubrey Hepburn, she also was the classiest lady on the big screen.

  • 70 Theresa Glisson // May 17, 2011 at 2:08 pm

I’ll go with Zsa Zsa Gabor or her sister Eva. They are 2 women that loved to show off their baubles and beads. The true definition of glamorous. Elizabeth Taylor was also an actress that I would consider very glamorous. And she also loved her diamonds. It definitely could not be Audery Hepburn. Although I love her, and her classic style of fashion, she never wore a lot of jewelry… only in movies. Grace Kelly didn’t wear a lot either, but the photos I have seen of her wearing jewelry…. it is very elegant….. not really what I would consider glamorous, but just beautiful and elegant…. she was gorgeous !!!

  • 71 Pattie // May 17, 2011 at 2:10 pm

You know it’s Liz Taylor :)

  • 72 Karen Painter // May 17, 2011 at 2:11 pm

Elizabeth Taylors jewellery collection would take some beating I’ve a feeling.

  • 73 faye // May 17, 2011 at 2:12 pm

    Grace Kelly…

  • 74 eileen flattery meyer // May 17, 2011 at 2:25 pm

barbara stanwick, just loved her voice and style, she was quite a looker and dresser and jewelry is just part of all that!!!

  • 75 Michelle Levario // May 17, 2011 at 2:38 pm

Mae West was not afraid to wear lots of jewelry as well as layers of different jewels, colors, and styles. She also liked to wear jewels in her hair as well. I would also have to say Zsa Zsa Gabor as well wasn’t afraid to show off the bling!

  • 76 Alica Jones Bischoff // May 17, 2011 at 2:39 pm

I would have to say Elizabeth Taylor! So many to choose from, but she seemed to be the tops. :)

  • 77 Kathryn Beausang // May 17, 2011 at 2:39 pm

Elizabeth Taylor is certainly amoung the most glamorous!

  • 78 Shannon C // May 17, 2011 at 2:56 pm

I will say Elizabeth Taylor came to mind first (White Diamonds) but there are so many others Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn. The list could go on and on.

  • 79 Jennifer // May 17, 2011 at 2:56 pm

Absolutely have to go with Audrey Hepburn !! She was an amazing & classically glamorous woman from her personality to her jewelry. Simply elegant!!

  • 80 Joycelyn // May 17, 2011 at 3:04 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly

  • 81 Detrian // May 17, 2011 at 3:05 pm

Lots of glamour to choose from, but I have to concur with the majority here and go with Elizabeth Taylor! I would love to own even a fraction of her collection :)

  • 82 Christiane // May 17, 2011 at 3:18 pm

I’d have to agree with most that it’s Elizabeth Taylor. I have her book- “My love Affair with Jewelry” and love the stories each piece tells.

  • 83 Dee // May 17, 2011 at 3:22 pm

Elizabeth Taylor is the first one that comes to mind, but also Marlene Dietrich and Olivia deHavilland. Liz Taylor, though, rocked the bling even outside her films, it was a part of who she was, not jut her characters.

  • 84 Sheila // May 17, 2011 at 3:43 pm

    I vote Audrey Hepburn.

  • 85 Echoruby // May 17, 2011 at 3:47 pm

Marilyn Monroe, diamonds are a girl’s best friend ! :)

  • 86 Sharon M. // May 17, 2011 at 4:01 pm

Certainly, Liz Taylor had the most of the “important” jewelry – But I love Marlene Ditriche’s jewelry, especially the emerald cabachon pieces

  • 87 Sally Anderson // May 17, 2011 at 4:12 pm

How could anyone beat out Elizabeth Taylor with all those diamonds she was so famous for?

  • 88 Mike Stout // May 17, 2011 at 4:19 pm

Elizabeth Taylor, of course, is who comes to mind at first, but on reflection, I have to say that Sophia Loren has worn some really striking jewelry in her career. Sophia has to be my pick.

  • 89 marlene // May 17, 2011 at 4:29 pm

Liz Taylor, followed by Mae West!!!

  • 90 Wanda // May 17, 2011 at 4:42 pm

Liz Taylor would be my pick!

  • 91 Patty Marvin // May 17, 2011 at 4:43 pm

I would have to agree with the Liz Taylor votes!

  • 92 Colleen Staver // May 17, 2011 at 4:51 pm

Ok, everyone here has gone with my first choice, so I am going to think out of the box a bit. How about Judy Garland? who else sported jewel encrusted footwear? Ruby slippers have to be the end all be all in over the top accessories!

  • 93 Helen White // May 17, 2011 at 5:28 pm

Liz Taylor for sure but also Janet Leigh and Audrey Hepbur. All were glamarous each in their own way and wore bling with style. But Taylor definately showed her class and beauty above all others.

  • 94 Helen White // May 17, 2011 at 5:32 pm

Elizabeth Taylor for sure but Rachel Welch had finese and wore her bling also.

  • 95 Chanie Weiss // May 17, 2011 at 5:52 pm

I can’t honestly answer this question. Shamed to say that although I’m a vintage jewelry girl & I like old movies, when I’m watching them I don’t notice the jewels! I’ve heard that Elizabeth insisted on keeping the jewels from her roles, so she had quite a collection. I’m sure she also was selective about what she was willing to wear. A new actress may not have that choice, but who could argue with Elizabeth?

  • 96 Diane Langness // May 17, 2011 at 6:29 pm

I was browsing through your book at the bookstore. I loved the necklace with all the stars in it. Would love to win a copy of your book.

    Diane

  • 97 Terri // May 17, 2011 at 6:49 pm

That’s easy – the recently departed , immortal and Glamorous – Liz Taylor!

  • 98 Mama E // May 17, 2011 at 6:56 pm

It has to be Elizabeth Taylor!

  • 99 Debi // May 17, 2011 at 8:23 pm

Audrey, of course!!! everything about her was classy and lovely.

  • 100 Kathy K // May 17, 2011 at 9:52 pm

I’d like to say something original but I have to go with Elizabeth Taylor. Just in Wedding rings alone she should win. But, she was a true icon in a time when we throw the word around demonstrating that we don’t know what the word means. In fact, Taylors jewelry collection was iconic all by itself.

  • 101 Melany Freedman // May 17, 2011 at 10:25 pm

I believe is was Audrey Hepurn, Breakfast at Tiddany,s

  • 102 Cindy Trusty // May 18, 2011 at 7:37 am

The more interesting question to me is…who would take the places of these amazing women TODAY? Who do we see in movies today looking half as glamourous as Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, etc? No one does it as well anymore… Maybe that’s just nostalgia kicking in. :)

  • 103 Deanna Cox // May 18, 2011 at 7:45 am

Liz Taylor had the BLING BLING going on! She wasn’t afraid of big Jewelry!

  • 104 Becca Schwartz // May 18, 2011 at 7:59 am

    That looks so cool.

  • 105 Becky // May 18, 2011 at 11:08 am

My vote is for Audrey Hepburn.

  • 106 Valerie // May 18, 2011 at 1:24 pm

Ooh, this book looks amazing! Kudos to Jean for bringing back the nostalgia of so many gorgeous beautiful women. Yes Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Sofia Loren, Ava Gardner, and the Gabor sisters – they all wore jewelry that added to their beauty. But in my eyes, for many reasons, it is Marilyn Monroe who sparkled the most!

  • 107 Hana // May 18, 2011 at 9:26 pm

    Elizabeth Taylor

  • 108 Patti Clark // May 18, 2011 at 11:58 pm

For an actress I would have to vote for Grace Kelly. She great (and royal) jewelry.
However, if we were voting for one women overall, it would have to be Jacqueline Kennedy!

  • 119 Denise Clark // May 19, 2011 at 8:56 am

In life, I would say Elizabeth Taylor with her more sparkles the better way of life. In the movies, I would say a toss up between Holly Golightly/Audrey Hepburn [I have always loved the hair bling] and Lorelei Lee/Marilyn Monroe.

  • 124 Kim Kreft // May 19, 2011 at 9:01 am

Sophia Loren in my opinion wore it all too well. Didn’t matter what she wore she shined brighter than any jewelry anyway. I don’t believe it’s what you have but how you wear it. Sometimes, less is more …

  • 137 Katie R. // May 19, 2011 at 9:15 am

I would have to say Audrey Hepburn. I love the elegance of the bling she wore in “Roman Holiday.” Absolutely stunning.

  • 140 Allison Morrison // May 19, 2011 at 9:28 am

Grace Kelly – her name describes shrt taste & style. I think that off-screen is what counts here;their very own style, and hers was grace & refined glamour at its best!

  • 147 Mark Carreira // May 19, 2011 at 9:56 am

My vote goes to Elizabeth Taylor! You never saw her without wearing any jewelry and everything she wore always made a statement. Personally, I think other actresses of the time were not as consistent in wearing their jewelry.

  • 148 Ivismccarthy // May 19, 2011 at 9:58 am

    It’s Elizabeth Taylor !

  • 149 Juli // May 19, 2011 at 10:07 am

The classiest jewelry wearer was Audrey Hepburn. The one who wore the most jewelry was Liz Taylor.

  • 150 Kristina Haverkamp // May 19, 2011 at 10:08 am

Most definitely either Liz Taylor or Audrey Hepburn. I loved the jewels she wore with her ballgown in My Fair Lady!

  • 151 Helaine Katz // May 19, 2011 at 10:09 am

    Lets not forget Bette Davis.

  • 152 Beverly Robillard // May 19, 2011 at 10:10 am

    Audrey Hepburn!! Marilyn Monroe, too!!

  • 153 Cecilia Mitchell // May 19, 2011 at 10:10 am

I think there are many. But Elizabeth Taylor gets my vote as well. I would LOVE to have this book.

  • 154 Heather Figueroa // May 19, 2011 at 10:11 am

Liz Taylor hands down!! Not only did she have an incredible collection of jewellery, but she owned it all. Stars nowadays borrow it from Winstons, etc. for red carpet affairs.

  • 155 Bob Stankiewicz // May 19, 2011 at 10:16 am

    Rita Hayworth

  • 156 Diana M // May 19, 2011 at 10:21 am

I love the old Hollywood glamor and I’d have to say Audrey Hepburn it seemed so versatile.

  • 157 Kathy C // May 19, 2011 at 10:28 am

great site, valuable information for a beader. TY

  • 158 Jennifer J // May 19, 2011 at 10:46 am

Jackie O She had some very stately pcs of jewelry.

  • 159 Tammy Millard // May 19, 2011 at 10:58 am

Well in my opinion as far as beaded works I would have to say, Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe. They all have impeccable taste of course, but as a beaded handmade jeweler I tend to get inspriration from those who were not afraid to step outside the lines, and wear pieces that weren’t necessarily “in” they wore what they “loved”. Which is how I make my pieces as well, no matter how far fetched they can be at times…..

  • 160 Jess T // May 19, 2011 at 10:58 am

Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Jackie O! But the classic Simplicity of Audrey Hepburn.. my fave!

  • 161 Amy L // May 19, 2011 at 11:06 am

    Elizabeth Taylor!

  • 162 Shirley // May 19, 2011 at 11:13 am

I harbor a secret but abiding love of tiaras, so I’d have to go with Princess Grace Kelly.

Here’s a website in the UK with LOTS of pics from the past:
    http://stealtheirstyle.co.uk/classic%20stars/grace%20k%20jewels.htm

  • 163 Peggy Russell // May 19, 2011 at 11:22 am

Although Audrey, Liz and Grace all had overwhelming style, Jane Russell had some pretty stunning bling as well. Do we have to pick just one?!

  • 164 Sharon Farrell // May 19, 2011 at 11:24 am

I think Liz Taylor had great jewels

  • 165 Eugenie // May 19, 2011 at 11:31 am

    Audrey Hepburn

  • 166 Vicky Conners // May 19, 2011 at 12:23 pm

When I think of gems I think of Elizabeth Taylor. I’d love to see what is created with Sawarovski crystals.

  • 167 Susan Krauss // May 19, 2011 at 12:31 pm

I would have to say Grace Kelly had the most gorgeous style. So classic and elegant! Winning this book would be amazing!

  • 168 Moira McEvoy // May 19, 2011 at 1:53 pm

I would have to say that the classic Audrey Hepburn is my favorite bling queen!!! She wore a little sparkle everywhere – wrists, neck, ears, boots, fingers – you name it – and she carried it off with such class and panache. I would wear Audrey inspired boot clips any day of the week!!!!!

  • 169 Kate Ball // May 19, 2011 at 2:28 pm

    Grace Kelly !

  • 170 Liz Hart // May 19, 2011 at 2:37 pm

Audrey Hepburn is my all-time favorite glamorous actress.

  • 171 Meghann // May 19, 2011 at 3:27 pm

I would have to say Elizabeth Taylor, then Marilyn Monroe, then Audrey Hepburn. However, in terms of glamour and manners, Audrey Hepburn wins all the way :)

  • 172 C Winter // May 19, 2011 at 3:53 pm

Definitely ZsaZsa Gabor, she was in Parade magazine once I remember reading when I was young girl. The joke was people ask me all the time” How do you clean your jewelry with milk or water or what? “Darling,” I reply,” I don’t clean my jewels I simply throw them away!”

  • 173 Ann Tomao // May 19, 2011 at 4:00 pm

I would have to say Liz Taylor also, but my favorite actress with great classic style would be Doris Day!

  • 174 Bella // May 20, 2011 at 5:44 am

It has to be Liz Taylor, if you have enough cash, she is selling a collection of her beautiful jewels.

  • 175 karen // May 20, 2011 at 10:22 am

    Elizabeth Taylor had the sparkle,
    Audry Hepburn had the glam!

  • 176 Nancy P // May 20, 2011 at 6:13 pm

Grace Kelly was a classic beauty and a very elegant woman. Watching Grace Kelly and Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief and see her wear such sparkling, glamorous jewelry was cativating on screen. Even as she matured, as Princess Grace, she was just as beautiful.

  • 177 Lisa // May 21, 2011 at 5:51 am

I will say Elizabeth Taylor- I love her diamonds…

  • 178 susan whelan // May 21, 2011 at 12:45 pm

I love everything Jean writes/edits. She’s definitely one of the best. Can’t wait to see the new book. To answer the question, all the stars mentioned were incredibly stylish but Joan Crawford had an outstanding collection of jewellery accumulated over forty years as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and she wore her jewellery with great panache.

  • 179 Kimberly Richert // May 21, 2011 at 10:27 pm

Audrey Hepburn was an amazingly glamorous lady. She wore beautiful jewelry and the sparkle shown from her eyes. : )

  • 180 Toni K. // May 21, 2011 at 10:32 pm

Elizabeth Taylor I think is number one, Audrey Hepburn, then Marilyn Monroe.

    Grace Kelly & Audry Hepburn

  • 186 Amanda Elliot // May 23, 2011 at 7:37 am

How to choose? How to choose? Elizabeth Taylor is clearly the front-runner here, but then there’s Grace Kelly and Mae West, so many to choose from. I love them all!

    Elizabeth Taylor!

  • 195 Diane Dorman // May 23, 2011 at 7:44 am

  • 199 Julie // May 23, 2011 at 7:48 am

First one that comes to mind is Elizabeth Taylor, big beautiful statement pieces. The next one for me would be Audrey Hepburn, classic.

  • 203 Jessa Sebastian // May 23, 2011 at 7:52 am

Oooo…Swarovski is my favorite! And I think Ms. Taylor!

  • 204 Debbie Thompson // May 23, 2011 at 7:54 am

The Old Hollywood actress who had the most inspiring and glamorous jewelry had to be Elizabeth Taylor.Although, Judy Garland sure knew how to wear the sparklies on her shoes! And, Grace Kelly wore her jewelry with such sophistaction, grace and style!

  • 205 Karen // May 23, 2011 at 7:54 am

    Elizabeth Taylor

    Audrey Hepburn!!! No question!

  • 210 Donna // May 23, 2011 at 8:06 am

Definitely Elizabeth Taylor. She had the admirers who could afford to gift her with jewelry! Too bad she’s gone now.

  • 211 turtledove // May 23, 2011 at 8:07 am

ZaZa…even on TV she wore sparkles!

  • 212 Heather // May 23, 2011 at 8:13 am

I hate to jump on bandwagons, but I think Liz Taylor’s the pretty clear winner here!

  • 213 Kelley Matthews // May 23, 2011 at 8:13 am

Gloria Swanson is the lady that inspires me most. I met her before she passed away, she was quite the lady. Her mannerisms, her dress, her jewelry, both in her professional and personal life.

  • 214 Lisa Skentelbery // May 23, 2011 at 8:14 am

I think Bette Davis had some mighty fine looking bling too!

  • 215 tlc4unu // May 23, 2011 at 8:15 am

Mae West…she wasn’t afraid of big, flashy or gaudy. She was who she was above all else!!!

  • 216 Colleen // May 23, 2011 at 8:16 am

Rosalind Russell in “Auntie Mame” – one of my favorite movies, with amazing sets, costumes, and the sort of jewelry that first made me want to be that kind of Auntie!

    Has to be Liz

  • 222 Pam Backstrom // May 23, 2011 at 8:42 am

Old Hollywood was a time when the stage was the world and presentation was everything.

  • 223 Suzanne Blanchard // May 23, 2011 at 8:45 am

Elizabeth Taylor had fabulous jewelry as did Zsa Zsa Gabor. These ladies looked fantastic in extravagant jewelry.

    Grace Kelly.

For jewelry; Elizabeth Taylor & Zha zha Gabor but for inspiration; Audrey Hepburn. I went to a flower show where even one of the competitions was to produce an arrangement that replicated her hats. They would have made her proud.

  • 226 Jennifer // May 23, 2011 at 8:56 am

I am going to have to go with Grace Kelly too. Class. We need more of that in this day and age.

    Liz Taylor for sure!!!

  • 230 Elizabeth Brideau // May 23, 2011 at 9:41 am
