Summer Wedding Trends – 2011

The “go green” theme is apparent in this season’s wedding trends. Many brides are purchasing recycled wedding gowns and adding their own personal touch to make it their own. The warm months call for warm colors.

We often familiarize ourselves with pastel colors during warm months, so it’s no surprise that pastels in shades of blue, yellow, purple and pink are popular hues for this year’s summer wedding colors. If you’re trying to decide on a dress for your bridesmaids, go with one of these shades—the soft tones will be a nice splash of color on your day and will make for a cheerful look. Check out our selection of colorful pearls to play off these soft pastel colors. If you’re taking a more dramatic approach, honeysuckle is a safe bet for this year. Honeysuckle is Pantone’s #1 color choice for the spring and summer season; the feminine pink hue looks great on any bridesmaid. Pair it with a royal purple sash for a fun statement.

Adding extra sparkle to your looks never goes out of style! If you want your dress to truly shine, add Swarovski rhinestones in Crystal AB for a dazzling dress. Vintage silver is a popular accent choice, too. Floral patterns are in style for the season so add silver flowers to wedding jewelry for a fun and feminine look.
