This contest is now closed. Thank you all for participating and congratulations to our winner! Click here to view our winner post.

Cupid was so busy setting everyone up for Valentine’s Day this year that he forgot to get a date for himself! He’s decided to let the Artbeads customers set him up on a blind date with whomever they feel would be a good match for him. If he enjoys his date, he’s offered up a lovely prize package full of Valentine’s Day jewelry components as a thank-you. With this prize you’ll receive a matching heart chain necklace and heart chain bracelet, along with cute components like sterling silver heart charms, jewelry findings and Swarovski heart pendants to add a sweet touch of style! All of these items even come wrapped up in a pretty pink organza bag tied off with a silk ribbon.

So, who would you set Cupid up with this Valentine’s Day? Tell us by leaving a comment on the blog for your chance to win! One winner will be randomly selected to receive this prize.

This contest begins tonight, February 8, 2012, and ends Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 11:59PM PT. Only one entry per person; must be 18 or older to enter. This contest is void where prohibited by law and open to US and Canada residents only excluding Quebec. Odds of winning depend on number of entries. Prize valued at $120. No purchase necessary. Winner will be contacted by e-mail and announced Wednesday, February 15.

We’ve also added the Wildly Bohemian Love Affair seed bead kit to our prize package for even more romantic jewelry inspiration!

I’d set Cupid up with Scarlett Johansson, because I think she’s the prettiest girl in the world and he deserves a wonderful lady like her, because he fixed me & my husband up 20 years ago and we’re still madly in love. Thanks, Cupid!!!

  • 14 Kim // Feb 9, 2012 at 4:44 am

I would say Cupid and the Tooth Fairy could get together – at least they wouldn’t need to make travel arrangements – they both can fly and and they both have a common interest – magical tools (bow & arrow – wand)…

  • 15 Judy // Feb 9, 2012 at 4:49 am

Iwould set him up with someone who is lonely and nedds a friend. Most of us need someone to love us and care about us. Today every one is in a big hurry to get some place or be someone or have somethings. Just stop a few and relax and love someone.

  • 16 Faith // Feb 9, 2012 at 4:57 am

I would love to have a date with Cupid myself as I could certainly use some love in my life! We could see who is more romantic-what a “tie-breaker” that would be! I have a feeling that neither of us would care by the end of the night!

  • 17 Darby Clare // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:08 am

I would stage a blind date for Cupid and his true love Psyche so that they would be together in 2012 for a great adventure. They would meet at a beautiful Inn in The Shenandoah Valley, neither would know the other would be there. They would laugh and dance to the music of their hearts, drink champagne, eat chocolate covered strawberries and fall madly in love all over again.

  • 18 Michelle // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:10 am

I would set Cupid up with my friend Ruth. She’s smart, funny, into the classics, and loves hearts! I think it would be a good match :)

  • 21 Re B. // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:39 am

I would set Cupid up with one of my dearest friends, Annie. She lost her darling hubby a few years back. Now she has started dating and can’t find a man that wants to be friends first, because she realky wants to know him but still be romantic on dates . I believe Cupid would know how to do all that and be the perfect gentleman. After all, he has had many years of experience!

  • 22 dawm // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:42 am

I’d set Cupid up with my sister, Diane! She deserves only the best! ;-)

  • 23 Betsy // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:57 am

Cupid would fall head over heels for my gorgeous niece Hannah. Not only is she smart (working on her master’s), intelligent (she’s nobody’s fool) and employed (works at Vera Bradley). Hannah uses her innate sense of humor and delivers it up with an award-winning smile! Some say she looks like Cameron Diaz. I say she is beautiful. Hannah could use a boy friend like Cupid – they’d make a wonderful pair!

  • 24 Rena // Feb 9, 2012 at 5:58 am

  • 26 Wendy Kovin // Feb 9, 2012 at 6:05 am

I would set Cupid up with my Mom who is widowed now for three years and feeling very lonely. She and her husband, Bill, had a whirlwind romance but it only lasted for ten years and then he was gone. She struggled with weight issues for all of her life and all of the men she ever got involved with (including my father) always criticized her and eventually left her alone, but Bill loved every inch of her and if she got bigger, he just loved her that much more! He tried so hard to stay alive for her but he eventually lost the fight. I know Bill would want to give her a date with Cupid because he could never stand to see her hurt and I know he doesn’t want her to be alone!

  • 27 Donna // Feb 9, 2012 at 6:09 am

I had this thought about setting Cupid up with Hera, Let’s face it, her husband, Zeus is always catting around on her with the young women.
But after reading a few of the other answers, I would wish Cupid to be set up with Peggy Cobb, #69, for a sweet, and unselfish person who deserves love.

But, yeah, I would really love this prize!!

  • 164 Pattie // Feb 9, 2012 at 9:11 pm

I’d surprise Cupid with a special day. He’d wake up to find a tray of breakfast in bed with a single rose. At work that day, he would be sent flowers from a “secret admirer”, he’d be given clues all day on where to go next. The note in the flowers would send him to a restaurant where a special lunch of his favorite foods will have been ordered and paid for for him. Instead of getting a bill at the end of lunch he’d be given a note featuring driving directions to a secret location. The directions would lead to a B&B in the woods with a view of a lake. He would arrive at the B&B to find chilled bubbly, lit candles, soft music drifting through the room and his and her sexy lingerie and rose petals laid out on the bed. There would be a note on the bed saying to expect a special surprise at 6:30. At the appointed time there would be a knock on the door, Cupid would open it to find his sweet Psyche standing there wearing nothing but a trench coat, high heels and matching heart chain necklace and heart chain bracelet. The rest of the night would be a build your own adventure Ala Cupid.

I got the sense that Cupid wants to have an opportunity to date someone whom he has had his eyes on for years. This will be a very unusual date as Erica wants Cupid to share his warmth and empathy by serving supper to friends in needs at the soup kitchen where she works. All her friends are real excited for her and cannot wait to meet Cupid as they know that Erica has been waiting for this a long time. Cupid will have a chance to prove to Erica how much of a good samaritan he is and I’m sure the beautiful gift wrapped in red will mean a lot to Erica since it’s coming from Cupid. Can’t wait to hear the details of this wonderful encounter!!!

oh my. THE cupid. the one and only….. wow. He would love, love to have a date with my cousin who is a widower of about 38 years. She is a one of kind woman. She is the most concerned about her neighbors, friends and family more than any one I’ve ever come across. Whenever there is something to do in the community, she is the first, and I do mean, first, one there and the last to leave. Although 70 years old, she can outwork any young person I know. Whenever there is a benefit, her cake goes for one of the highest bids. She continues to cater and make special occasion cakes while maintaining her health. She is a breast cancer survivor and quite the advocate. yup, she’s the one. In fact, she would love this prize. I love giving away things I win. The smiles on folks faces is worth the effort. And I get the blessing. My heart smiles! Thanks for the opportunity.

I would set Cupid up with my dear sweet sister-in-law. Her husband was tragically killed instantly last June on a Saturday evening five minutes after he left work coming home. He was hit head on and killed by a fugitive who was running from the law. It shook the whole family up tremendously because he was “handy man” for all of us for carpentry work, plumbing and etc. Now we are all but lost without him. He can never be replaced, but if Cupid could just bring him back for one more day, one more time to spend time alone with my sister-in-law, that would be a Valentines to remember.

I would set the Cupid of Love to have a date with ‘the Goddess of Love’ Venus. They would both understand that old-fashioned love not around anymore.

  • 228 AS // Feb 11, 2012 at 1:53 pm

If I had a chance to set a date for cupid, I’d set him up with (the ghost of) Mother Teresa. She was a such a wonderful lady who gave love and hope to people who had none. I am sure cupid would be delighted to take a break from making people fall in love and get some unconditional motherly love himself.

  • 229 Rachel // Feb 11, 2012 at 4:01 pm

Cupid please send a magic arrow for my little sister Rina. She take very good care of her 2 daughters alone, and she would give her last dollar to anybody who need it, even if she have to work 2 jobs and never ask Angels up above for her needs, but she always there to listen and ask favors for others. She want so much to have someone to share her big heart with. Please Cupid take care of her!

I would set Cupid up with ME! A hard working man is good to find!

  • 232 Rachael Kelly-Cohen // Feb 11, 2012 at 6:28 pm

I would set Cupid up on a date with my Cousin in England. She is a Nurse and has been lonely and single for a long time. I would love her to meet Mr.Right. Maybe it might be Cupid in disguise or he could after their date shoot an arrow for her to have a man fall in love with her. She so deserves it!

  • 233 Rita // Feb 11, 2012 at 6:31 pm

I would set Cupid up with someone who would let him relax and be willing to attend to all of his needs for once. Cupid is always putting everyone and their love lives ahead of his own, so he definitely needs someone who would put HIM first! :) Maybe he could date an archer, who at the very least could give him a day off from shooting people with love arrows!

  • 234 Joanne // Feb 11, 2012 at 7:09 pm

Home is where the heart is! Cupid would definately love to share my hearth full of love!

  • 235 Rockin Robin Caldwell // Feb 11, 2012 at 7:45 pm

If we were talking about the real cupid, I’d send him to my son. Poor kid, 24 years old and has never had a girlfriend. He’s cute, but too shy. My heart breaks for him, he’s so lonely!!! C’mon Cupid…send some little cutie his way. Hugs, Rockin Robin C

  • 236 Christina Blake // Feb 11, 2012 at 8:47 pm

Ahh Cupid, you need some love too after all of your generosity you need a bit of spoiling so how about you choose me? I promise you a sweet kiss & hug and a home cooked meal accompanied by chocolate mousse of course!

  • 237 Barbie Sotirovich // Feb 11, 2012 at 8:57 pm

    I would fix Cupid up with a women who has a big heart and a whole lot of love to give! In his profession I think you’d have to have a big heart with lots of love to want to make others happy and give them the gift of love. I think he deserves the same in return. ; }
    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY CUPID !

Cupid is perfectly matched with Psyche.

I would set cupid up with my aunt, she needs someone

  • 243 Linda B. // Feb 12, 2012 at 8:29 am

Since Cupid is married, it would have to be with his true love Psyche. Since he went through so much to be with her, there would be no way to break this bond between the two of them. I am sure since he is so blissfully in love, that is why he goes around trying to spark his happiness in others!

  • 244 Dana // Feb 12, 2012 at 8:35 am

I’d set Cupid up with my mom. She needs a night of being adored.

  • 245 Teri // Feb 12, 2012 at 8:53 am

  • 246 Joanne Walker // Feb 12, 2012 at 10:12 am

I would set cupid up with my husband Roger because he happens to be my Knight in shining armor. He saved me when I was in a very dangerous envirnoment. We knew each other 7 days then we got married and have been together for 33 years and have never had a major fight because life is to short to be fighting.

  • 247 Melissa // Feb 12, 2012 at 10:39 am

What a great giveaway! Cupid is considered to be a match maker, so I’m sure he would do a better job at setting himself up, than me!

  • 257 Kayla Castonguay // Feb 12, 2012 at 1:52 pm

I would set cupid up with my mom, she resently got surgery and im at school and cant be home with her. She would love it.

  • 258 Jennifer // Feb 12, 2012 at 1:58 pm

Apparently Cupid was so busy helping everyone else get ready for Valentine’s day that he forgot to plan a date with his wife, Psyche. I would set up a Valentine’s date for them, someplace far away from Psyche’s grudging mother-in-law, Venus – and I would give Cupid some beads and findings so he can make Psyche’s Valentine’s gift himself.

  • 259 Karen Williams // Feb 12, 2012 at 1:59 pm

I would set cupid up with myself. Then, I would ask him to shoot his arrow at a most wonderful man that I have been talking to.

  • 260 Carole // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:03 pm

I learned long ago that setting someone up was not a good idea. So, I think Cupid should meet my friend, and see how things go!

  • 261 Erin Kennedy // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:09 pm

I thought Cupid was the match maker? All my girl friends are married or in relationships. So I guess I would have Cupid meet my single guy friends and see how he can match them up : )

  • 262 Tina // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:13 pm

I woud have to say Betty White.

  • 263 Patti Barnes // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:15 pm

I think I would set him up with Sandra Bullock. She could use a good man in her life since the last one was so horrid. A nice romantic dinner, walk on the beach, talking and watching the sun come up. He can take it from there.

  • 264 Lori // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:22 pm

My mom and dad divorced 20 years ago. My dad has remarried twice since, but mom has gone it alone. She could definitely use a special night. It would be nice to have someone dote on her for a change!

  • 265 Linda // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:27 pm

I’d set Cupid up with my best friend, who is always giving to others selflessly. She just lost a family member and could use a fun time out with an arrow shooting guy!!!

    With myself… sorry….lol

  • 269 Nicole Pugh // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:52 pm

I would set Cupid up with Aphrodite. If he can find anyone a soul mate, he needs one that has just as much charm, good looks and is just as irresistible as him. PLUS, they both live in Fictional Character Land, so it makes the chances of them finding each other slightly more realistic ;)

  • 270 Anzia // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:52 pm

With myself, we would have a blast!

  • 271 Pattie // Feb 12, 2012 at 2:55 pm

  • 277 Jacqueline Thompson // Feb 12, 2012 at 3:40 pm

Well the answer to that is easy……ME!!!!!!! Jacqueline is in love with love and romance and would be the very best date for Valentines Day! Flowers, chocolate, love poetry and candles would adorn our fantastic luxurious dinner table.
The atmosphere will be completely intoxicated with incense and romantic love and kisses…..

  • 278 Candace // Feb 12, 2012 at 3:52 pm

I think of Cupid as a sweet little cherub, so I would set him up with another sweet little cherub!

  • 279 Olivia Rose // Feb 12, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Though Cupid loved Psyche, and true love should come from the Soul and not only the heart, Desire, Affection and Erotic Love should be tempered with Wisdom.
Such Wisdom would not have allowed the temple of Venus to fall.
Cupid, The God of Desire, Affection and Erotic Love
    Minerva, The Goddess of Wisdom
Cupid and Minerva should be together.
    ^_^

  • 280 Lori Lovett // Feb 12, 2012 at 4:20 pm

Cupid…draw back your bow….LOL….I would definitely set him up with my girl Michelle….she just got out of a dead end relationship and could use a couple of arrows in her backside from Cupid….

  • 281 Oshes // Feb 12, 2012 at 4:36 pm

most of my co-workers. They need a man and not the kids their day is made up of. LOL

  • 282 Diane // Feb 12, 2012 at 5:19 pm

I would not set Cupid up. Cupid knows what he is looking for. He helps us all find love every day. When Cupid is ready he will select the right woman. She will be loving and caring. But beyond that she will care for mankind and help Cupid in his never ending search for the perfect matches.

The matches they seek would promote goodwill and love worldwide. They would promote world peace and seek to end hunger and suffering, particularly where children are involved.

Most importantly she would always wish for the magic of Cupid’s arrow to land where it makes the world a better place.

  • 283 Amanda Sullivan // Feb 12, 2012 at 5:40 pm

For sure Adriana Lima!!! She is amazing! Cipid would be happy :) ~

  • 284 Janet // Feb 12, 2012 at 6:02 pm

My cousin passed away this past August from cancer. His wife is going through her first Valentines without him. After being very happily married for 30 years! I would absolutely LOVE to be able to share this with her! She could use a pick me up and she just LOVES jewelry.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  • 285 Sue Mac // Feb 12, 2012 at 6:24 pm

I totally would go out with Cupid myself. He must be tired after all his hard work this holiday season and I would love to help him relax with a nice home cooked meal, slippers, cocktail, movie in, and then I would even clean up before tucking him into bed for an early night.

  • 286 Sueonthebay // Feb 12, 2012 at 6:38 pm

I would definitely set Cupid up with my Granddaughter Jennifer. She is a single Mom of 3 beautiful kids and she loves others unconditionally. He would be the perfect match for this young lady and they could share their hearts forever.

I’m not much of a match-maker, but I would make sure that I would find him the best match possible and set him up with a wonderful day at the Sybaris, with rest, relaxation, and all the romance he could use.

  • 289 Marilynn // Feb 12, 2012 at 8:05 pm

I will set Cupid with a Puertorrican angel; the candid loving heart of cupid and the warmth flirty
heart of a puertorrican angel will make the perfect couple. They really become one :)

  • 290 Patty // Feb 12, 2012 at 8:25 pm

I would set cupid up with Psyche – his true love.
    Cupid as he lay among
Roses, by a Bee was stung.
    Whereupon in anger flying
    To his Mother, said thus crying;
    Help! O help! your Boy’s a dying.
And why, my pretty Lad, said she?
    Then blubbering, replyed he,
A winged Snake has bitten me,
Which Country people call a Bee.
At which she smil’d; then with her hairs
And kisses drying up his tears:
Alas! said she, my Wag! if this
    Such a pernicious torment is:
Come, tell me then, how great’s the smart
Of those, thou woundest with thy Dart!

  • 295 Jen Hoffman // Feb 13, 2012 at 8:38 am

Not to sound arrogant, I would set him up with me. I’m single and would love to have a new friend. If he’s busy so busy with his job that he enjoys, why not a part-time crafter like myself? I work a day job as a full-time Recruiter for the last 12 years, love animals (I have rescued my 2nd beagle last year), and enjoy cooking, baking, jewelry making and most all types of crafts. And I even enjoy the outdoors! What more could any man want? :-)
Please have cupid knock on the door about 7pm for a homemade dinner, good conversation, and some humor from my silly dog :-)

If cupid was a woman, I’d have to say my uncle Frank. He has been single pretty close to 15 years. Frank has helped me thru so much in my life. The night my mom passed from non Hodgkins Lymphoma, it was just he and I with her. He plays with my kids, and even watches them for me when I need to make a fast run to the store. He lives upstairs from me, too…He is a quiet man that is not afraid of hard work, sometimes putting in 80 hour work weeks.

  • 311 Kristy // Feb 13, 2012 at 1:32 pm

I would set Cupid up with my husband so Cupid can give him some pointers in the romance dept, lol. He was very romantic when we dated (for 7 years) but now we’ve been married for 6.5 years and with work and kids it’s hard to put the effort in for extra romance. :-)

I would set Cupid up with my best friend of 19 years. Tragically two years ago she lost her husband of 23 years to a heart attack. Since that time she has overcome such hurdles that I admire her emensely. She has also lost 185 pounds during this time which has given her a whole different outlook on life. I thought she was always a beautiful person, but now she shines. It is time for Cupid to strike her heart with his arrow and I think she would knock Cupid’s socks off. So…..I really hope Cupid choses her for his Valentine this year, because I think they both deserve it. Jennifer

I would set Cupid up with my good friend Sandy. She has two grown children with three grand babies, she loves God, she loves her friends and family with every ounce of her being. She lives at home alone with her little shin tzu Bella. She loves to get out with friends when she can, but dreams of meeting Mr. Right. If our special Cupid could come into her life , he would fall in love with an intelligent, sweet, that will make you laugh so hard the tears ran down you leg! Come meet our truly special sandy. Just thinking about my dear friend
Puts a smile on my face. She’s a hoot and a half! Everyone needs love, our Sandy needs Cupids help. Cupid would keep her for himself she is so sweet! I’d love to help her myself, incredible ladies shouldn’t be alone on valentines day! I’ll pray that right man will come along sood. Cupid please do your magic! Please!

I have one child. My son is only 8 right now, but I would send Cupid his way once he was mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for a love that is real and true to the core of his soul, the kind of love that more-than-lovers share, the kind of love between man and wife. This love would lead (hopefully) to the blessing of child(ren) and would seal the circle of life for my son one day, like mine which has been blessed so richly. If only Cupid could make a promise to me on Valentine’s Day that he would remember my wish and spare his arrow until this special day when my son will meet his bride. What more could a mother wish!

I would set Cupid up with the Wicked Witch of the West. Everyone needs a lot of love in their life and maybe just maybe if the Wicked Witch of the West was shot with Cupid’s “love” arrow she wouldn’t be so mean to Dorothy, Toto and the little Munchkins…

I don’t have a specific person in mind for Cupid, but it would be someone grounded, sensible, compassionate, someone that does for others without thinking of themselves, and who sees him for the person behind the quiver of arrows.

I would set up Cupid with my daughter. She’s a very loving, caring person who makes friends very quickly, and holds them to her heart forever. The two of them would go very well together, and could bring out each other’s best qualities. What more could anyone ask for?
