Artist Spotlight – The Lipstick Ranch

Artbeads is always excited to discover talented new artists who share the same value of providing high-quality products to customers. The Lipstick Ranch is one of those companies, whose unique approach to beauty is what we love about them. Their eye for style is apparent in the shapes they choose to create, from organic butterflies to inspiring Goddess figures. Each handmade piece captures a beautiful rustic brown shade edged in black, a perfect reflection of the patient process they go through.

The natural rusted iron pendants and charms from The Lipstick Ranch are all made on their Colorado farm. They start with strips of cold rolled iron (lead-free, of course!) and lay them out on the farm. This allows them to get a natural rust finish, and they will set as long as it takes to achieve the prime shade of artistic rust. On the ranch, each pendant or charm is cut out by the artists and then sealed three times on each side with a water-based acrylic sealant. This sealant traps in the rusted iron finish and prevents any further rusting, giving you the perfect rustic feel.

From their name to the process for their products, The Lipstick Ranch is one of our favorite new artists. With rich texture and color their pieces come to life. We are proud to carry The Lipstick Ranch because their work is sure to be appreciated by designers. Artbeads strives to find the best quality products to give to jewelry designers because we are jewelry designers. Like the secret beauty inside The Lipstick Ranch components, our collection may not be vast but is valuable. Discover The Lipstick Ranch for yourself and add their beautiful pieces to your own collection!

  1. I saw this wonderful woman at the Puget Sound bead show earlier this month. Even as great as all of these pieces look on line, they are better in person. The color is rich and rustic.
The best part of my shopping and purchase was my experience with the proprietor. She was friendly and helpful at the show. When I got home I realized that one of my pieces was damaged. I emailed her ad got an almost immediate response (within 15 minutes) offering to mail me a new piece. Best yet, she followed through and I have the cutest pair of owl to make into earrings.
I highly recommend this lady and love her art!

That’s wonderful, Melinda! Great to hear that there are other designers out there who appreciate her work.

I also visited this booth (and bought quite a bit) at the Puget Sound Bead Festival a few weeks ago. Lots of really cute things!
