My resolution is to finally get a website up and running so I can sell my creations. I make beaded jewelry and twined wire designs. I also make patterns/sew custom costumes and designs. I have had so many people tell I need to do it. This is the year for it.

My beading resolution is to start making items NOW for the Gingerbread Shop sale I am part of every year and make some every week until then, instead of waiting until 3 wks before the sale (and thus only a few weeks before Christmas, when I’m already crazy-busy)!

Stop dreaming. Stop looking. Start doing! My resolution is to do! Stop pinning. Stop doing the basics and do the extra. As it relates to jewelry: For years I have done ok with my jewelry but by doing the basics I know will sell. This year I will do the designs that make me go “wow! I made that!??? “

My resolution is to stop smoking!!! I also want to make things and complete them, I always tend to start making a piece but never seem to complete it totally. Of course winning this would surely help me to be able to do that. Good luck to all the contestants and thank you art beads.

To be more humble to those around me for we know not what they are walking through. Pray each day that I might be a light in a world so filled with darkness. To keep my eyes open and hope I don’t miss whatever God has put me on this earth for, and to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Thank you for reading this and my wish for you all is good health, safety in the coming year and do treat others as you would want to be treated for in doing so you just might see yourself in there eyes.

Keep detailed records of what supplies cost. Sometimes I price things by guesstimating what suppliers charged for materials and then price my own items according to what I think vendors or customers will pay. Being a perfectionist, it is easy to keep upgrading. Especially when JBB and/or TierraCast goes on sale and I stock up. If I’m not charging for the upgrades, however, I’m ultimately losing out. The fear, of course, is they might not want to pay more. There are other ways to stay competitive than price, however. One way to do this is adding detailed descriptions of the findings to my listings. If the rubber chain is from Italy and/or the toggle is JBB, I need to make this a selling point, rather than lowering my profit.

I learned ab out ten years ago that I had rheumatoid arthritis and soon had to retire from the business that my husband and I owned. I found a book on beading, bought the supplies, followed the in structions, and from then on, there was no stopping me. Beading is great therapy and helps to keep my fingers limber and pain free. I have been able to sell some of my work and give away much of it. Beading gives me great pleasure and has done much to build my self esteem.

My New Year resolution is to help more people. I would love to volunteer at an animal shelter, I love animals and it would be so awesome if I could help as many as I could. Another resolution would be to budge my money better and to save more money. I think 2013 is going to be a good year.

I also want to spend more time working on promoting my business through social media and my website. Lastly I want to share my love of beading with others by starting to offer classes again.

My resolution is to make 3 pieces per week. I work full time so it’s a stretch goal for me, but I find I’m a much nicer person to be around when I’ve had the balance of some solid “bench” time during the week!

My goal for this year is to FINISH something each weekend. I’ve already spent hours cleaning up and organizing, so now I have no excuse. I need to finish the projects I’ve started, use the “special” beads that I couldn’t wait to use, and then play around with all the cool pieces in my bead stash.

My 2013 resolution is to make time to create more. I’ve spent time in 2012 working hard and while that’s important, I realized I need creative time too. Everytime I see 2013, I’m making it the year of CREATIVITY!

My resolution is to design more chain mail pieces by adding different findings, types of crystals, expanding different ideas to pieces and to make dazzling pieces of silver into works of art that lay about the wrist, on the neck or nestled on the ear. Explore my creativity and make it come alive in the pieces that I make.
