Swarovski has just announced their Innovations for Spring/Summer 2019 and they are inspired by the reasons why people travel: joy, freedom, luxury, and culture. People from all walks of life love to travel because it can bring fulfillment and transformation to our lives. Travel is about creating new meanings and making the best of life. Jewelry-making is similar – you bring beads and other components together to become something more. The beauty of travel and jewelry-making are both expressed in each of these new Innovations, with attention-grabbing and vibrant colors, mixed trends, and uniquely artistic styles. After looking at these gorgeous Innovations, from the ocean-worthy Majestic Blue color to the energetic geometric shapes, we have some serious Wanderlust (along with the urge to make fabulous jewelry)!
New Colors & Effects
Color – Majestic Blue
The new Majestic Blue crystal color from Swarovski is like a deep blue sea, a raging river, and a twilit sky all at once. This is the kind of intense ultramarine hue that immediately makes you think of travel and mysterious locales. It’s also a royal and elegant option for jewelry designs. It has a classic gemstone look thanks to the pure coloring. This blue is more intense than Swarovski’s Sapphire, Cobalt, and Capri options, but don’t be afraid to mix it in with these colors. It is a color that offers exceptional brilliance and depth wherever it goes. When our team saw this stone, it made us think of the Great Blue Hole, an impossibly blue diving zone off the coast of Belize.
Crystal Shiny LacquerPRO Effects – Crystal Buttercup, Crystal Lime, and Crystal Lilac
The new Crystal Shiny LacquerPRO effects are bright pops of color and so expressive. Crystal Buttercup offers up sunshine yellow happiness, Crystal Lime is refreshing with its eye-catching green hue, and Crystal Lilac is sweet and sparkling with a soft lavender color. These are perfect colors for spring and they complement the existing shiny effects (Royal Blue, Summer Blue, Azure Blue, Royal Green, Mint Green, Light Coral, Dark Red, Peony Pink, and Dark Grey) nicely. Just like travel, these colors can uplift your spirit. When used together, they remind us of the colorful rows of houses found in Amsterdam.
Pearl Coating – Iridescent Dove Grey
Elegant and refined, the Iridescent Dove Grey pearl coating allows for new color combination possibilities with other Swarovski pearls. The frothy silvery white color displays just a hint of grey sheen that has us dreaming of magical pearls found in tropical destinations. This really is a chameleon color that works anywhere. It’s an exquisite complement to the Majestic Blue color, and it would also look great with Pearlescent White, Iridescent Light and Dark Blue pearls, or neutral pearl effects like White, Dark Grey, and Night Blue. Like a key piece in any travel wardrobe, this crystal pearl is classic and versatile.
New Shapes
Teardrop Fancy Stone
This gorgeous rhinestone is a more delicate version of the popular pear-shaped fancy stone. The elongated shape has a straighter side and a less curvy outer shape. The unique faceting offers a brilliant cut with modern flair. You can use this stone in delicate mosaic and floral patterns and combine it with existing pear shapes. The elegant style is great for simple statement pieces or detailed and opulent projects. This teardrop, with its glistening sparkle and almost petal-like shape, inspires rainforest daydreams for us.
Spike Bead Collection – Hexagon, Square, Round Spike Beads
Swarovski’s spike bead collection includes the hexagon, square, and round spike beads. These pointed beads offer texture and edgy style for expressive, individualistic looks. You can combine all three of these beads for unique three-dimensional and eye-catching beaded designs. You can also use them as sew-on stones for a glamorous and precious look. The smaller size options feature one stringing hole, while the larger options boast two stringing holes. The unique stringing configurations allow for all kinds of possibilities. The spiky style of these beads reminds us of frozen stalactites found in the caves of Iceland.
Classic Cut Pendant
The classic cut pendant stands out with its truly versatile design. This adaptation to the Chaton shape features 49 facets in a gemstone-inspired design. This lustrous crystal glints and gleams like sunlight on a far-off coast. Echoing the luxury of high-end travel, this pendant will elevate your style with its fine-jewelry look. Try it in glamorous looks or more earthy styles. Use it in birthstone colors to convey a meaningful message.
Geometric Flatbacks – Kite, Trapeze, Diamond Shapes
Jumpstart your designs by creating energizing patterns with these geometric flatbacks in Kite, Trapeze, and Diamond shapes. It’s enough to fight off any jet lag! These flatbacks are great for jewelry and nail art, as you can glue them, embed them into epoxy clay, and more. The classic shapes feature side dimensions that are engineered to combine with each other. You can also use them effortlessly with the 2400 Square flatback. These simple yet brilliant rhinestones are infinitely combinable, so try creating kaleidoscope patterns.

Love the new blue and the LacquerPRO Effects!
As a holder of a September Birthday, I love the new blue!
Me too! Blue birthday and lovely new blue!!
I’m a September baby, as well. The new blue is just gorgeous!
Love all the new colors and shapes
The new Crystal Shiny LacquerPRO effects are bright pops of color and so expressive. Crystal Buttercup offers up sunshine yellow happiness, Crystal Lime is refreshing with its eye-catching green hue, and Crystal Lilac is sweet and sparkling with a soft lavender color. These are perfect colors for spring and they complement the existing shiny effects (Royal Blue, Summer Blue, Azure Blue, Royal Green, Mint Green, Light Coral, Dark Red, Peony Pink, and Dark Grey) nicely. – You listed nine colors but posted twelve colors in the photo
Um, Kitty, if you look I think that you will find that the three new colours are in the photo (“complementing the existing colours”) but the names have not been listed again in the text because they had just been mentioned in the previous sentence. Whatever – they’re lovely.
Hi Kitty! Susan is right, the extra three colors in the photo are the new colors. They are not on our website yet, this is just a sneak peek. They should be available soon. We do apologize for any confusion on that!
Your web site is too hard to find things.
Hi Elaine! We’re sorry you’re having trouble finding things on our website. Is there something in particular you are looking for? September babies are thrilled…being one, I love the color and just love blue anyway. When will they be released? Plz tell.
Spike Bead Collection!!!!!!!! Swoon…so excited to play around with these.
The spikes look like so much fun! We can’t wait to play with them, either.
The new line has such beautiful colours, but I’m wondering if there will be settings available for those lovely slender teardrops. They’re rhinestones, and need a setting, as they don’t have a stringing hole.
Often, Swarovski launches new rhinestones and we have very few ways of getting the settings.
They added the 3 new colors to the original 9 colors in the line to make the 12 color line.
Nice post. I used to be checking constantly this blog and I’m inspired!
Very useful info particularly the remaining phase 🙂 I take care of such info
a lot. I was seeking this certain info for a very long time.
Thank you and best of luck.
That blue is amazing! This is a great collection. I haven’t been this excited with Swarovski in a while. I also love the new scarlet too😊
