More and more people are traveling as it becomes more accessible to do so. As we saw from Swarovski’s latest Innovations, wanderlust isn’t just inspiring us to travel – it’s inspiring us to make some fabulous jewelry. With that in mind, TierraCast has released a new mini collection this month that encompasses small tokens from traveling the globe. The Worlds Away collection includes hoops and small charms that work perfectly together to tell a global story.
The hoops are available in three sizes and three finishes. These hoops can open and close with a hook below the loop that blends seamlessly into the design. You can layer in as little or as many charms as you want. Since they are easy to open and close again and again, you can even create interchangeable looks, too. Add more charms with every new place you visit or simply switch up the look to suit your mood. TierraCast’s own designers got creative with this look, adding gold spacers and brass spacer bars, a large earth charm, and some new mini charms from the collection onto a 32mm hoop. These hoops are perfect for collecting and wearing personal talismans and other meaningful charms.
The charms from the new Worlds Away collection are small, versatile, and full of meaning. Like the hoops, they are also available in three finishes. The Arrow and the North Star charms symbolize direction and navigation, so they are perfect for travel-inspired styles. The Naja crescent is a recurring motif seen on Native American squash blossom necklaces worn for harvest celebrations and ceremonies. It makes a meaningful talisman in any design. The Hamsa hand is an ancient symbol that at once invokes protection and speaks of far-off lands. These small charms are easy to layer onto the hoops, but you can also showcase them on delicate chains, like TierraCast’s designers did here.
The charms and hoops from the Worlds Away collection work wonderfully together, but make sure you also mix some other elements into your designs with these pieces. TierraCast’s designers used 20mm gold hoops and the Mini Hamsa charm to create these earrings, as well as layered in some Czech glass O beads.
Our designer Cheri Carlson couldn’t help but play with the new collection, too! She showcased a hoop at the center of her World Traveler necklace and layered in several charms from the collection. We love how she used Beadlinx chain right alongside the charms.
This collection consists of versatile components that work well together or separately. We love how easy it is to incorporate these pieces into different styles. We can’t wait to see what #SeriousArtbeaders come up with, so be sure to share what you want to make with these items in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
