Have you heard of International Beading Week? This week is sponsored by The Beadworkers Guild and is a worldwide event that celebrates our passion for beads and encourages the wider public to participate in beading. This year, International Beading Week runs from July 27th to August 4th. You can learn more about this special week here. In honor of this event, we’re holding a beading challenge on Facebook and Instagram to get you inspired to bead anywhere! Read on to find out how to participate and how you could win a fun prize for beading on the go.Â

For this challenge we want to see how you share your beading passion with others. It could be beading in public, wearing your handmade jewelry around town, having beading parties with friends – there are so many ways to spread the word about beading! Cynthia shares her beading passion with our weekly Facebook Live jewelry design challenges and making many of the gorgeous jewelry designs available in our Design Studio.Â

To participate in our International Beading Week Challenge, simply upload a photo sharing your beading passion to Instagram (tag us: @artbeads) or on our Facebook page starting Saturday, July 27th. You can join in every day of the challenge, or just choose the days you feel inspired. To inspire you even more, we’re sharing prompts each day until August 4th. Feel free to use the prompts as a guide or post what you like. There are no rules, so get as creative as you like! Just use the hashtag #ArtbeadsGiveaway with each post. Take a look at the prompts we’ve chosen for each day of International Beading Week and then learn how you can win some beading supplies just by participating.Â

My favorite tool is the one-step looper. It makes beading so much faster and it is fun to use.
My favorite jewelry style is classic pieces and Vintage. I also like the BoHo look.
My favorite is beading jewelry in general, see a great pattern and then I try it and add something different to make it my idea
My dream room would be brightly lighted, with large windows facing the ocean, with shelving and draws for all my supply, and a comfortable chair and music. That’s my dream room
I like to take projects to work with me and work on them during lunch. I haul it it in a tote but this would make it much easier to transport! Right now I’m working with earthy tones.
