Since Mucha is one of my Mom’s favorites, I would definitely create a beautiful dramatic pendant for her from the Mucha Evening Star.

  • 3 Juliet Hevland // Apr 11, 2011 at 11:43 am

I LOVE the 6 loop silver heart pendant. I would use that for a special gift and adorn the loops with birthstone colored Swarovski crystals!!!

  • 4 Ashley // Apr 11, 2011 at 11:47 am

I love your Amber & Black glass rhombus beads. My mom’s favorite color is red, but she already does a lot with that color…the amber & black perfectly complements what she already loves, and the shape is unique, not usually the shape picked for jewlery. She loves different earrings, so I’d make her a pair of drop pin earrings to complement her red, as well as a simple matching necklace, as I really think she’d take to this bead too!

I love my Mom she is my best friend so I would make her a sterling charm bracelet with charms such as the Domed Mother message pendant and the Puffed heart along with some of her favorite things like a teapot charm because not a day goes by without her constantly drinking a cup of tea all year round. Something she would cherish for many many years. I love you MOM!!

The sterling picture frame would make a treasured Mother’s Day gift all by itself (with a favorite photo, of course)

  • 7 Eugenie // Apr 11, 2011 at 11:52 am

I would make a necklace out of the Northern Lights Swirl Glass Drop Pendant.

  • 8 Melissa Procopio // Apr 11, 2011 at 11:52 am

I would use the 6 loop silver heart and the “M” “O” “M” silver charms to dangle from 3 of the loops while the other 3 loops would be used for her birthstone color or the birthstone colors of her 3 kids(myself, my brother, and my sister)

My Mother enjoys looking at the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. She would love to receive the Cherry Blossom Charm with a heart or Mom charm hanging from it.

  • 10 Ragina // Apr 11, 2011 at 12:13 pm

My mom loves anything I make for her, cause I made it. She is so good to encourage me to make more and always tells me I do a good job. although I’m lacking in the designer area, but I get great ideas on your Web site, don’t know what I’d do with out it. I haven’t made her anything with MOM, so I’d probaby buy the silver letters.

  • 11 Charla Kirby // Apr 11, 2011 at 12:26 pm

I lost my Mom May 4th of last year. She was 75 and the best Mom anyone could ever have. She has an identical twin. I miss my Mom terribly, but my Aunt lost other half. I can’t make a gift for my Mom, but I would love to make something really special for my Aunt.

  • 12 Jen W. // Apr 11, 2011 at 12:46 pm

I’d use 2 of the sterling silver flower pot charms to make a pair of earrings for my mom since she LOVES to garden. I’d combine it with some amethyst or pearl beads, since she’s always been a fan of dangly earring, and a French hook. They’d be just about the perfect gift, especially if I threw in some jordan almonds…

  • 13 Lisa Wieland // Apr 11, 2011 at 1:20 pm

I would make my Mom something involving the birthstones of her kids and/ or maybe a locket.

  • 14 jennifer keeley // Apr 11, 2011 at 1:21 pm

i would use the antique brass butterfly fillagree pendant. i think i would use antique brass chain links, and use a light pink and clearAB swarovski crystals in between an inch of the links. i would do the whole chain rotating links and crystals. put the beautiful butterfly in the center and if i could find 2 small brass butterflies, put them on each side of the bigger one. at the bottom of the bigger butterfly,i would attach a smaller light pink swarovski crystal to dangle and add balance! and of course using the pink and cleaar AB crystals, along with 2 more of the small brass butterflies,i would make matching dangle earrings. not to overdo it,keep it vintage looking! and i would make a 2nd set for me so we could have mother-daughter matching sets!! my mother always loved butterflies and i know she would love this creation!!

  • 16 Cortney // Apr 11, 2011 at 2:29 pm

I like the sterling silver sand dollar pendant. Sterling silver is elegant, and the sand dollar a little bit down to earth, yet fun. I would make a necklace for my Mom with it, as it reminds me of her :)

  • 17 Deci Worland // Apr 11, 2011 at 2:38 pm

I’d like to bead a bezel around a Swarovski 1122 14mm Rivoli Crystal Vitrail Light. I would present it to my mother in Tucson. I grew up as an orphan, just met her for the first time in November. She makes beautiful turquoise jewelry. Genetics will out.

  • 18 Stacey // Apr 11, 2011 at 3:37 pm

I would make my mom a pink necklace with the sterling silver “Hope” slider. She just celebrated her 2nd year cancer-free!

  • 19 Alie // Apr 11, 2011 at 4:27 pm

I would use the picture frame pendant and put a photo of the grandkids in it. My mom would love that.

  • 20 Alison // Apr 11, 2011 at 5:44 pm

I love the pink large nugget pearls and the sterling silver message beads. I would make my mom a pink pearl bracelet with the “mom”, “family,” and “love” message beads. I grew up seeing my mom wearing pearls and always thought they made everything look elegant. I think this bracelet would be elegant and fun!

  • 21 Audrey // Apr 11, 2011 at 6:34 pm

I love the gift card! Mom’s always love gift cards. :)

  • 22 Bella // Apr 11, 2011 at 10:43 pm

I never knew my mother but would have wire wrapped and woven Silver curls and gold strands around the wonderful the Sea horse pendant.
As Sea Horses are endangered and so fragile just like love can be, yet they cling to the plants as I cling to the hope I will one day find my mum and give her this beautiful gift.

  • 23 Christi Burke // Apr 12, 2011 at 5:26 am

I love the sterling silver picture frame charm. I would take it and put a picture of my brothers and I when we were younger. The good old days when we were pretty cute ;) I have been pretty into Kumihimo with beads lately so I would love to mix the colors of each of our birthstones and a strand of silver in seed beads to tie in the charm and make a nice bracelet. I would want the clasp to be simple so the charm would be the feature so I would use a lobster clasp for sure. I think that with these things I could make something truly original and cherished!

  • 24 maneki // Apr 12, 2011 at 6:21 am

I’d probably choose the black onyx bead with the white persian as my favorite. Would add it to a white/creme pearl and black onyx bead necklace. I think mom would like a necklace like that for a party.

For myself I would’ve chosen another cat, the red pendant with black cat by Taina Hartman. I’d make a knotted necklace using round black glass beads, 4-6 mm, and red silk cord cord.

  • 25 Aubrey K Miller // Apr 12, 2011 at 6:57 am

I would like to make a lariat style necklace for my mother using the 24mm Porcelain Disk Green Tree beads.

  • 26 Chrizette // Apr 12, 2011 at 8:49 am

I would make the Black Onyx rectangle Evening Star by Mucha into a Beatiful Pendant which my Mother would have loved ! LOve You Mom !!

  • 34 Lisa Criswell // Apr 12, 2011 at 1:38 pm

After carefully looking through the Mother’s Day products, the piece I am most drawn to is the one you have shown, Evening Star by Mucha. It depicts pure beauty and it’s exquisite. I never make anything for myself, and my husband thinks that since I’m not HIS mother he doesn’t have to help the kids celebrate my mother’s day. i know. messed up, huh? So I would use this pendant to make something completely luxurious and beautiful to celebrate my own motherhood for one time.

  • 35 Brenda Taggard // Apr 12, 2011 at 1:39 pm

I love the ss “MOM” message bead. I would make a bracelet for Mom using this as the focal bead, and make a matching one for me with the “Daughter” message bead.

  • 36 Nancy Webb // Apr 12, 2011 at 1:39 pm

Definitely the Swarovski 6263 36mm Forever 1 Heart Pendant, because this is the biggest heart that Artbeads.com carries (to my knowledge). It matches my mom perfectly because she has the biggest heart and the most giving person I have ever met. She has always been a perfect role model for me as a mother. Everyone that meets her says she is an angel. Life for her right now is hard taking care of an ailing father and terminally ill brother. We try to assist as much as possible but it is not the same as when you live with these people on a day to day basis. I love my Mom as well all her children and grandchildren. Thank you for all you do and all you have taught me about being a good mother.

  • 37 Alissa S. // Apr 12, 2011 at 1:47 pm

I love the Swarovski 6100 24mm Faceted Teardrop Pendant Crystal AB! I would make my mom a simple silver chain and pendant necklace.

  • 38 Emily Staier // Apr 12, 2011 at 1:48 pm

I am making my mom the desert relic necklace. She loves turqoise and all of the colors in the design, and when I saw the pattern, I instantly thought, “Mom!” I hope she likes it!!!

  • 39 Katie // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:05 pm

I really like the 1.5 Inch Flowery Heart Pendant – Walnut Wood.

I’d make it into a necklace for mom.

  • 40 Patsymom // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:12 pm

I would make my mom a necklace out of Black and White Elegant Royal Shell Pendant 64x64mm and 2mm cherry quartz rounds. My mom would love the black and white of the pendant against the pink of the necklace…I would also intermix a few black beads in with the cherry for extra zip.

  • 41 Mallory // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:14 pm

My favorite is the Sterling/Resin 16mm Pendant – Pink with Flowers I really like the color and the wimsical nature of the flowers. My mom doesn’t wear necklaces or anything very often so I’d probably use it as part of a chain keychain/purse decoration hanging it off the bottom and then use beads and charms to make the rest.

  • 42 Sandi B // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:21 pm

My mother recently had three surgeries through her nose to remove a brain tumor, I found an Amethyst faceted into an apple and made a kilt pin for her, I think the Silver Heart Picture frame would be a perfect fit for her pin. My mom is amazing in her faith in God and not once felt sorry for herself, she is my hero!! Although, all of the pieces are beautiful, that would work perfect, since she loves silver!

  • 43 Vanessa // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:22 pm

If my mother was still with us this year, I would love to make her a simple necklace using the Violet head-drilled pearls and the SS MOM message bead. Purple was her favorite color. She was never one for fancy jewelry. As a single mom she, not having much money, she put my needs ahead of her own. I know she would treaure the violet pearls.

  • 44 Regina // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:25 pm

Sterling Silver Cross in Open Heart Charm is beautiful and yet so delicate just like my mom..Out of all the jewelry pieces I’ve made my mom always chooses the cross necklaces..

  • 45 Tammy Roush // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:26 pm

I would choose the World’s Greatest Mom pendant, because that’s what she is. I would Chainmaille her a bracelet and use pendant as a charm and then add a lighthouse charm and a smiley face charm to it (those are her favorite things). Mom has always been there for me, I wasn’t the easiest child to raise.

  • 46 Linda Stienstra // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:31 pm

The “World’s Greatest Mom” charm is the perfect thing to add to a necklace I am currently making for my precious daughter-in-law! Although my son has found her replacement, she and I continue the wonderful relationship we’ve always had and she is an excellent mother to my grandson. This charm certainly fits my “daughter-in-love!”

  • 47 Cynthia Quiroga // Apr 12, 2011 at 2:44 pm

I love the wooden heart pendant. I would make my mom a necklace. She’s got cancer and not much time left. I would really like to give it to her in person! That would be wonderful. She represents love and loves jewelry and wood, so this would be just right.

    Cindy

  • 48 Claudine M Jalajas // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:20 pm

My mother loves snowflakes, the moon, and pretty much anything I make for her. She loves turquoise too.. I would make her something with Swarovski crystals.. I love the snowflakes by Swarovski.

  • 49 Sue McEvoy // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:28 pm

I love hearts! There are so many from the Hill Tribe hammered silver heart to the sterling silver wish box to my true faves, the dichroic hearts (purple on black and rainbow on gold are lovely. I use a lot of hearts in my designs and they’re great for not only Mother’s Day but all year round.I also have always admired the purple resin winter forest pendant and it’s on my wish list.

  • 50 Christina Dauenhauer // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:31 pm

My favorite product is the Stoneware Round Pendant – Cool Bubbles (Code: SW-PEND088). I would use it as a pendant centered on a string of yellow beads, maybe jade. I think the blue and green in the pendant would be great paired with yellow for summer.

  • 51 brenda salzano // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:38 pm

W0wza! I would choose the puffed porcelain beads that are hand painted with sea motifs. Add some real sea shells, maybe some touches of organza material in a necklace set! Mom loves the sea as much as I do!!

  • 52 sarah douglas // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:39 pm

I love the mother’s day charms, I would make bracelets for gifts.

  • 53 Maria Barscewski // Apr 12, 2011 at 3:50 pm

I love the Walnut Wood Heart Pendant. I would definitely give it to my mom as Mother’s Day present.

  • 55 Erin Pourcho // Apr 12, 2011 at 4:06 pm

I love the Ice blue Tree in Resin pendant as seen here: http://www.artbeads.com/ss-pend003.html . I would put this pendant on a broken zipper on my mom’s favorite jacket. That way she could use her jacket again and have a pretty reminder of how much i love her. I picked this one because the jacket is blue and Mom loves trees and nature items.

  • 56 Nikole // Apr 12, 2011 at 4:16 pm

I like the Stoneware Love Birds and Flowers Triangle Pendant. I would make a necklace with it and give it as a gift.

  • 57 Yuliya Art // Apr 12, 2011 at 4:58 pm

Thank you so much for this special section! It definitely helps to make the best choices for moms, it did for me: my mom would love to wear a necklace with this Botticelli pendant http://www.artbeads.com/ab-ppt011.html, she is a big fan of classical painters. I would keep the necklace quite simple with lace beaded chain in light colors to center all attention on the pendant.

My Best Wishes and good luck to everybody :)
    Yuliya

  • 58 Marge B // Apr 12, 2011 at 5:04 pm

for my mom, myself, and each ofmy sisters because we are all moms and enjoy our motherhood.

  • 59 Dianne Culbertson // Apr 12, 2011 at 5:09 pm

My favorite thinking of Mother’s Day this year would be the Sterling/Resin 13x18mm Pendant – Apple Tree. My mother is gone now so my favorite mother is actually my daughter, she has given my 2 beautiful twin granddaughters. I even have a name for the piece picked out! I would like to create a family tree necklace with it and give it to her!

  • 60 Suzanne Edwards // Apr 12, 2011 at 5:11 pm

  • 62 Thia Gielow // Apr 12, 2011 at 5:44 pm

  • 66 Amanda Preske // Apr 12, 2011 at 6:44 pm

My mother loves the color purple and always has to have coordinating earrings with a necklace. I would love to make her a necklace using purple silk with violet pearls and classy pearl earrings to match.

  • 67 Kathleen Ruth // Apr 12, 2011 at 6:57 pm

I am making my Mom a Tree of Life pendant using the birthstones of her 11 children. The 18″ Royal Blue Satin Necklace (Code: NS20-RBLU) would be the perfect finishing touch!

  • 68 Cheryl Soltysik // Apr 12, 2011 at 7:29 pm

I would use 3-4 different size swarovski heart pendants and chain to make a necklace without a clasp. My Mom has difficulty with clasps and loves the necklaces I make for her that slip on over her head.

  • 69 Susan Mullins // Apr 12, 2011 at 7:33 pm

After reviewing the selections my favorite is the Rectangle Mother of Pearl Teal Ornament. I would use this in a necklace using silver chain and some complimentary teal colored rounds.

  • 70 Jeannie // Apr 13, 2011 at 1:39 am

My mom was a mater gardener so I would use one of the flowered ceramic pendants with pearls..her favorite. I would also get her a gift certificate. She does bead embroidery.

  • 72 Sheryl Stephens // Apr 13, 2011 at 3:32 am

Before I even looked at your specific Mothers Day section – I knew my favorite Mothers Day item would be pearls. There is just something about pearls and moms…I’m thinking the blues and browns….

  • 73 Mary K // Apr 13, 2011 at 5:08 am

My favorite is the “Handpainted Porcelain & Sterling Pendant Deco.” And I would make a necklace with it as the focal point.

  • 74 Heather // Apr 13, 2011 at 5:39 am

Wow…a difficult decision to make…I would love one of everything!!! If I had to choose I would choose one of the hand painted porcelain hearts…they are gorgeous!! I would then sell it and donate the proceeds to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario! For my Mother…I’d have her choose her favorite something and make exactly what she wanted…
    Cheers

Last year, I used the oval hammered silver links to make a grandmothers’ bracelet by flattening the links, then hand stamping the names of my children and my nephews.

This year, I plan to string up some freshwater pearls in different sizes and shapes, and make a kumihiro style bracelet!

  • 78 Susan M (quiltingjewel) // Apr 13, 2011 at 8:32 am

Hard to choose but I really like the Mother of Pearl Violet Fern Pendant. Reminds me of my Mom – one of her favorite colors. I would do a necklace with some soft, light violet beads and small silver beads with the pendant.

  • 79 Angela Plager // Apr 13, 2011 at 8:51 am

I really like the Blacklip Shell Offset Donut 38x38mm – Red Design and would make a necklace with single spiral rope using pearls.

  • 80 Patricia Miller // Apr 13, 2011 at 10:04 am

I would use the porcelain puffed rectangle peacock bead with a mix of colorful pearls and beads and dangle the mom bead from it and give it to my mother. That peacock bead is soooo pretty!

  • 81 Tracey // Apr 13, 2011 at 10:23 am

I just fell in love with the 20x30mm Rectangle Black Onyx Peacock pendant! This would make a striking necklace for my Mother! I create most of my mothers jewelry! I would add it onto a sterling or gold chain with a few small beads on either side to frame it. This soooo her! Elegant and detailed!

  • 82 Amy // Apr 13, 2011 at 11:56 am

I also love the pendant featuring Mucha’s Evening Star. I think I would wire wrap around it and mount it as a brooch for a pashmina scarf. :)

  • 83 Anne Schoenneman // Apr 13, 2011 at 1:47 pm

My mom sparkled every minute she was alive! She loved jewelry so much and as she got older, she adored the sparkle of Swarovski crystals. She would wear single strands of crystal bracelets stacked 5 or 6 at a time so she could watch them sparkle! Bless her heart, she was legally blind, but she could tell a Swarovski from across the room.
I miss my mom every day and if she were still here, I’d pile another 6 crystal bracelets on her loving arms….and make her a necklace to match!

  • 84 Robyn Ely // Apr 13, 2011 at 1:49 pm

Oh my so many to choose from ! They are all
so beautiful ! I love the Tropic Queen, so I will choose that one. I have not made any jewelry pieces as of yet, so this say’s beginner and fit’s me.
I have longed to make jewelry, I had a jewelry class in middle school and made a pearl ring. It was the greatest class I ever took ! Never good at pottery. I adore jewelry so by winning this $100 contest and making this necklace, it may put a spark in my life ! I am hoping to win, and if I make it I plan on keeping it. Everything I have ever made, crochet, knit, needlepoint someone has always talked me out of it. I have not one thing I ever made from my past. This one will be mine ! Thank you for the chance !

  • 85 Sharlene // Apr 13, 2011 at 1:50 pm

I would buy 4 of the flowery hearts pendants, and string them on floral colored silk, along with some resin flowers sewn to the silk with a seed bead center. I would keep one, give one to my Maternal grandmother, one to my mother, and I would go and place one on my paternal grandmother’s grave. It would be a small but significant token of my family matriarchal solidarity.

  • 86 Amber // Apr 13, 2011 at 1:54 pm

I would love to make my mother a beautiful beaded watch chain for the Marcasite Rounded Diamond Watch Face. It is very special and my mother is a special person. I would make the chain either out of small beaded silver wire or just big black and silver beads. I know she would just love it!

  • 87 Anne Marie Freitas // Apr 13, 2011 at 2:10 pm

I’d live to make a necklace using the Terra Cast Antique Copper Ginkgo Leaf Charms to create a unique Mother’s Day necklace with the Terra Cast Antique Copper Tree of Life Charm. I think the tree of life is a unique way to represent motherhood withe the leaves representing her children.

  • 89 Cat Pruitt // Apr 13, 2011 at 2:29 pm

I would use some crystals in birthstone colors, one of the sterling “worlds greatest mom” charm, and use bezel settings to set black and white images of all of my mom’s children.

  • 90 Mindy Taylor // Apr 13, 2011 at 2:44 pm

My favorite item is the porcelain heart Pendent in green paisley, I would make my Mom a necklace & a lapel pin similar to the necklace.

  • 91 Pamela in Calgary, AB // Apr 13, 2011 at 5:17 pm

I am in love with the Magenta Love in Bloom pendant. I would make a simple necklace with it, with a few crystals on each side.

  • 92 Mandy // Apr 13, 2011 at 5:28 pm

I would chose the resin Blue Tree with Blossoms pendant for my Mother. The blue is gorgeous and calming and the tree would represent that she is the trunk of our blooming family. My Dad could be a root. LOL.

  • 93 Jamie // Apr 13, 2011 at 7:45 pm

My favourite is the Sterling Silver Heart Picture Frame and I would give it to my Mother for her birthday.

  • 94 Kay Sturm // Apr 13, 2011 at 7:45 pm

My mom loves pink and pearls and wire-wrapped items, so I’m thinking of a couple of the new Swarovski hearts in astral pink with coordinating pearls, with rose-gold wire and toggle clasp.

  • 95 Amy S. // Apr 13, 2011 at 7:52 pm

My mother would love the Sonoma Bracelet. Tbe colors are gorgeous and my mom enjoys bracelets because she can see the artwork on her wrist. The bracelet would remind her of her travels to California with my dad.

  • 96 Mel // Apr 13, 2011 at 8:15 pm

Ooh, I would say the hand-dyed silk, it’s so pretty! My mom has a bit of trouble opening and using most clasps, so it would make a perfect easy-on/easy-off necklace!

  • 97 Heidi Susanna Burri // Apr 13, 2011 at 8:38 pm

There are so many awesome items to choose from it’s quite hard to narrow it down to one…
but I have found a pendant that I could use in a necklace I plan on making for her. I know the colour suits her style and she loves Swarovski.

I chose the – Swarovski 6191 48mm Divine Rock Pendant Crystal Red Magma – but as I said before, it is one of many that I’d love to work with.

  • 98 Lisa // Apr 13, 2011 at 9:53 pm

Hard pressed to choose just one thing, but I’d love to use the Mucha inspired beads in either a mobile charm or an opera length necklace with a tassel and blackened metal frame.

  • 99 lee maynard // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:39 am

My favorate would be winter by mucha, mom was born in Jan. and turning that into a necklace would be fun.

  • 100 Alice // Apr 14, 2011 at 4:25 am

My mom loves jewelry, but nothing too large. One of her favorite colors is pink, so I think I’d make her a necklace with the sterling/resin-pink with flowers pendant and hang it on a simple but elegant sterling chain.

  • 101 Betty Morrissey Burkholder // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:03 am

I would make a necklace all sterling silver and add my mother favorite colors of crystal and her birthstone amethyst. I would use Strass crystals in briolettes, round and bicone shapes in fern green, province lavender and wasabi green pearls:)

  • 102 Carly Vaughan // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:51 am

HIya.. My favorite item..is the mothers day charms. I love to make and wear charm bracelets. I would love to make these for my mom and mother in law. I have a lot of pretty crystals and beads to make the bracelets..just one thing is missing..those pretty charms. ;-)

  • 103 Laura Perkins // Apr 14, 2011 at 6:02 am

I looked through all the Mother’s Day collections..and all of the items that were collected were so very beautiful…but one stood out for me..The Wish Angel Box Pendant. Although my Mother lives across the street she becomes very lonely for me…we are absolutely bestfriends…and are definitely very attached. I want to make a necklace with this charm. In the box I am going to put a lock of my hair and a bit of my childhood blanket…which was a Satin nightgown of my mother’s… as a child I was inseperable from it…because it smelled of Mother… I said it was sweet, soft and smelled good…just like Mommy. She would stroke my hair as I sucked my thumb and twirled the blanket between the fingers. She absolutely loves the angel theme…because I am her angel…so she says all the time. She can wear the pendant close to her heart…just as I am always..whether I am with her or not… She will never be “alone” from me. Artbead always has the very best selection of items that bring my creations alive and with beauty!! ..Thank you Artbeads for having this item…It will be the perfect Mother’s Day Present whether I win the contest or not… I will definitely “win” my Mommy’s heart. <3

  • 104 Christie // Apr 14, 2011 at 6:06 am

I love this pendant! 1.5-Inch Double Sided Donut – Gold Iris and Bamboo – Faith The colors are soft and lovely and with the Chinese character for faith on it, it’s a wonderful reminder of our heritage. My great grands were missionaries in China, and faith is what describes my Mom to a t!

  • 105 carol donnermeyer // Apr 14, 2011 at 6:23 am

Venetian Glass 16mm Zanfirico Millefiori Round – Amethyst to make the Evening in Venice Necklace and make it a 24 inch rather than an 18.

  • 106 Deborah // Apr 14, 2011 at 8:22 am

I would make a modern- day version of a cameo-inspired piece!

    Just a though! I don’t make jewelry! I make cards. http://cricutprojectoftheday.blogspot.com

  • 107 Lara Denis // Apr 14, 2011 at 9:03 am

My mother-in-law had this great wallpaper with art deco women, stars, and moons in her old bathroom. She regretted losing those images when they renovated… For that reason, I think using the onyx pendant ‘evening star’ on an antique bronze chain with wire wrapped topaz swarovski elements and maybe some coral highlight beads would be a knockout gift!

  • 108 ana // Apr 14, 2011 at 9:56 am

I love flowers and purple color, I choose Opaline Purple Glass Dagger Bead I would like to make a ring and a pendant to my mom, of course with a green leaves Olive Green with Picasso and Luster Large Petal Drop

My Favorite is the Sterling Frame-it would make a perfect gift for my Mom. I would either use it as for a bracelet-or make a necklace for my Mom using it. :)

Thank you so much Artbeads! If I win-I will share the gift certificate with my Mom! :) She also makes jewelry.

  • 110 Susan Ayers // Apr 14, 2011 at 12:56 pm

  • 112 Christine B // Apr 14, 2011 at 12:57 pm

I would take a different spin on the Mother’s Pride. LOVE THE COLORS. Love Swarovski’s. I think that they are the most versatile beads. I think I would make a rosary out of these beads. Afterall, spirituality is very important to many mothers!!!

  • 113 Michele B // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:02 pm

I would use the light purple pendent that says love, wire wrap some purple fresh water pearls, purple sw, black sw, and give to my mom for mothers day.

  • 114 Lisa G. // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:08 pm

I love the Magenta Love in Bloom! I lost my Mom to cancer on Christmas Day 1989. But, now that I am a Mom, I would love to make a nice necklace for my daughter, so she would always have something special from me for years to come. Also, her favorite color is pink!

  • 115 Mary Ann // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:10 pm

Your silk hydrangea blend would be lovely strung with three brassed vined links, one for each of my children, a copper dove and copper dove locket.

  • 116 Kathy // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:10 pm

Sterling/Resin 16mm Pendant – Magenta Love in Bloom

I would use black onyx beads and a chain to create a necklace.

I don’t have a mother to give it to, so I would probably give it to a dear friend.

  • 117 Amy Rayfield // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:11 pm

I love the simple sterling silver mother disc. I would make my mom a beautiful braclet with this as the focal point. I would use amethyst (her birthstone) and light purple fresh water pearls with sterling silver spacer beads to finish it off. My mother has been a huge supporter of my Autisic son. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have had time to take for myself once in awhile to bead again after the birth of my son.

  • 118 Mona Baroody // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:17 pm

Mothers need to gift to themselves to be the best they can be. As a mom, I would love to make myself a necklace with the Pablo Picasso Black Onyx Benedetta Canals and pair it with cloisonne in black and white. I also would love to make a necklace in my favorite colors, and birthstone namesake with another onyx pendant, Amethyst by Mucha, paired with Purple Fire Designs Furnace Glass Beads and my own lampwork beads!

  • 119 Arzelia // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:22 pm

Definitly the Heart Of Gold necklace for my mom. My dad had gotten her one years ago that resembles this one and after his death 3 years ago she went to get it out of her jewelry box and it is gone. I think she would really like this..

  • 120 Kimberlee Ratzlaff // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:27 pm

I would use the World’s Greatest Mom charm, with crystals and sterling silver chain. Because she is the world’s greatest Mom. Through thick and thin she has stuck beside me and supported me in the best of times and the darkest of times. I want her to know that I wouldn’t trade her for all the tea in China as my grandmother used to say. Everyone deserves a Mom as special as mine is.

  • 121 Linda French // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:28 pm

I love the Renewal Bracelet idea and would love to purchase the supplies to make one as a gift for my mother-in-law.

  • 124 Janice Lee // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:48 pm

It would be one of the floral lampwork or porcelain beads — I’m having trouble making up my mind. I would make a necklace. I’m normally a beadweaver but in this case I would make a strung necklace.

  • 125 BellaOsa // Apr 14, 2011 at 1:49 pm

This is something that came to me the instant I saw it. My choice is ‘Swarovski 4139B 30mm Ceramic Cosmic Ring Marbled Blue’ because it represents the Circle of life and the connection a Mother and daughter have. Its an every lasting love and bond that nothing can break, not even Death! Yes my mother has passed. To make her a piece of jewelry from this round ring would remind me how much she loved me! Wow, now to mention the color… I saw the colors of Heaven. This is the only place my mother could have gone. She had a beautiful soul and lived her life that way. I can only hope my children and children’s children feel the same way about me. Happy Mother’s Day MOM!

    BellaOsa
    Happy Beading :)

  • 127 Melissa Darin // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:03 pm

My mom has always loved owls and I’m using a pendant with swarovski rivolis for eyes, which I created from scratch. Getting this giftcard would help be create an identical bracelet and a pair of earrings to go with it.

  • 128 Sharon Vachon // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:06 pm

I love the Rectangle Dragonflies with Tube Pendant and just purchased it last week. I am going to make a necklace for my mother using this pendant because dragonflies make us think of my dad who passed away 12 years ago.

  • 129 Erin // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:09 pm

My favorite piece is the Magenta Love in Bloom. I would make a necklace with it for my Mother. It would be a great way to show her appreciation for everything she’s done for me. We have had some rough patches in our relationship, but we are growing or “blooming” into a better relationship. Therefore it would be perfect. Plus I love the look of it. So that would be my idea.

  • 130 Diane Ballum // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:09 pm

My Mom passed away back in 1972, when I was 14, sooooo, if my Mom were alive, I would make her a beautiful necklace, using the Sterling/Resin 16mm Pendant, Red w/Cat, as the centerpiece. Her favorite colors were Red & Black, as well as she had a Black Cat named Pywacket back then! Red & Black, with the Black Cat would be perfect for her! Thanx for the opportunity to win a gift certificate!!!

  • 131 Cindy Shorey // Apr 14, 2011 at 2:13 pm

I love using crystals and any findings to make earrings for my mother-in-law! Handmade gifts mean so much more.

  • 132 Denise Polgar // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:20 pm

I would choose the Rectangle Black Onyx – Birth of Venus, by Botticelli because my mom is an artist (specializes in nudes) so she would relate and appreciate the skill that goes into this pendant!

  • 133 Michelle Hunt // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:20 pm

I would use the 20-21×30-31mm Rectangle Black Onyx Butterfly as a pendant on a necklace, perhaps accented with other black beads. I do love the butterfly because it reminds me of the lovely security I felt with my mother as a child.

  • 134 Marjolaine David // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:30 pm

I love the Rectangle Black Onyx Peacock, My mom doesn’t wear any jewelry so I would make her a book mark with it. But for my mother in law I will would make her a necklace with the Silver Wish Box Angel and purple swarovski crystal. I would Love to win this gift certificate it would be a nice mother’s day gift for sure.

  • 135 Karen Richardson // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:32 pm

My favorite component is the Sterling silver heart picture frame ISPF-0001. I would make some “New Arrival Bracelets” for a couple new Moms in our family.

  • 136 Janine // Apr 14, 2011 at 3:45 pm

Love the STARRY NIGHT necklace for inspiration. Those are my colors, but my Mom is more of an earthy/autumn gal. I’d love to transform the design into rich golds, vibrant reds and some complementing greens. My Mom lives a long way away so I can’t see her on Mother’s Day – so wish I could. I’d love to put a necklace together and pop it in the mail so she gets a wonderful surprise :-)

  • 139 KATHY HUNTER // Apr 14, 2011 at 4:16 pm

Stoneware Square Pendant with Sparrow. This will be the first Mother’s Day we will truly be blessed. My mom about died the first week of this year from a serious infection. Although she is still in therapy she is alive and getting better everyday. She is an avid bird watcher and collects bird objects. I would love to make her a necklace with this pendant depicting a bird.

  • 141 Sue Fitzwater // Apr 14, 2011 at 4:30 pm

Ooo, the Swarovski pendants! My mom has windows that get a lot of sun, I’d make her some beaded suncatchers using the pendants, wire, and lots of different beads all down the strand.

  • 142 Zahava // Apr 14, 2011 at 4:37 pm

I don’t have a mom, but I try to make Mother’s Day a happy day for me anyway. :-) There are wonderful products in your Mother’s Day section. One that really speaks to me right now is “A Day at the Beach.”

Love all the contests and specials! So glad I found Artbeads on Facebook.

  • 143 Taina // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:05 pm

It’s so hard to choose just one item but I love item #SW-PEND140. The Stoneware Large Flower Bouquet Heart Pendant with offset left hole. It has lots of colors and would be stunning with almost any accents colors. It could be attached to leather, chain or silk ribbon to create a special treasured piece.

  • 144 Alyssa Ashby // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:06 pm

I would buy my mom the resin pendant magenta love in bloom. She really likes pinks, light blues, and lavender so it would suit her! I would use it with beads that are similar in color to make her a lovely and classy necklace to show off to her friends and neighbors!

  • 145 Jennifer Roberts // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:19 pm

I would make a “tree of life” pendant using wire and Swarovski crystals in the birth month colors of myself and my sister and our three kids in the “leaves” area and my Mom’s birth month color in the “root” area because she is our strength and our root and what holds us all together and of course attach that to a necklace. I have an amazing Mother.

  • 146 Jennifer Trump // Apr 14, 2011 at 5:31 pm

The mother/daughter lady bug bracelet kit is absolutely adorable. I would love to purchase several of those kits to make and give to my sisters and nieces to celebrate the unique bond we mothers have with our daughters and to remind us how narrow of a time space between our daughters wanting to be just like Mommy and to wanting to be their own independent person really is.

  • 147 Michelle // Apr 14, 2011 at 6:02 pm

I lost my mom three years ago and always think of her when I see beautiful spring flowers since her birthday is also in April. I would love more rivolis and daggers to use to make flowers where the daggers are like petals. The mixed strand you have with brown and turquoise daggers is perfect!

This is the hardest holiday for me,(sorry)my Mom was so creative, she taught me to crochet etc..she is my inspiration in every thing I do.I think the World’s Greatest Mom pendant would be my choice, then she could look at it and know how much she means to me.But to be honest…a big hug and tell her I lOVE Her,would mean the world to me.I lost her 8 yrs ago.Thank You for such a wonderful site.

  • 150 Peggy Rardin // Apr 14, 2011 at 7:26 pm

I would use the beautiful Rectangle Black Onyx – Evening Star, by Mucha in a necklace. This pendant represents the strengths of a woman who becomes a mother. This pendant shows the mind, heart, and a defined muscle in the the arm which represents physical strength to me. Most women can have a baby, but it takes the beautiful strength of heart, mind, and physical body to be fabulous mom. That beauty is the ultimate beauty. This is my mom.

  • 151 deanna e. // Apr 14, 2011 at 7:37 pm

My Mother’s favorite place to go is the beach. She loves to walk and watch and listen to the crashing waves. I would make her a beautiful necklace with the JOE CRISANTI GREEN GLASS JELLYFISH PENDANT as the focal piece, peridot & ruby gemstone rounds (our birthstones), clear Swarovski crystals and the sterling Cresting Heart clasp to hold it all together with love. I’d most likely make myself a bracelet with all the same components except the focal piece-maybe with a sterling heart charm instead. My Mother is such a loving and giving person. If I can be even half the mom she is I will be thankful!

  • 152 Jillaine Comardo // Apr 14, 2011 at 7:46 pm

I would love to make a bracelet using the Grace Lampwork beads (LMP-0157) in purple and pink for my mother. The beads incorporate some of her favorite colors.

My mother did an amazing job raising six kids. She is elderly and not well. A bracelet would cheer her up as she would be able to enjoy viewing it on her wrist.

  • 154 April Fitch // Apr 14, 2011 at 8:45 pm

I love the walnut wood heart, I’d make a Swarovski crystal keychain with that heart dangling from it. <3

My favorite is the 20-21×30-31mm Oval Mother of Pearl Dragonfly Bead…I have been admiring that for quite awhile now! My Mom passed away September of last year at the age of 93 and one of her favorite colors was pink. She also loved to do crossword puzzles so what I would do to keep her memory close to me would be to use this very special bead on a book mark.

  • 156 Connie Fink // Apr 14, 2011 at 9:19 pm

My favorite piece from the Mother’s Day collections is the Gold Iris & Bamboo/Faith double sided donut. My mom is very spiritual and would love anything I could make with this, but my first idea would be to use gold wire to create some kind of wrap on sections of the donut, then attach it to a gold chain. It would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

  • 159 Peggy // Apr 15, 2011 at 5:28 am

I love the new Swarovski Wild Heart pendants. Classic yet modern and the colors are so vivid! The crystal shade and magma are my top pics. Add a few tiny pearls to them and they make gorgeous earrings or a stunning necklace.

  • 160 Becky Kubisak // Apr 15, 2011 at 5:42 am

Since I lost mom 2 years ago, I would use the heart picture frame to hold her picture and make a bracelet (for my daughter and me) with it that had crystals in a garnet color to represent her birth and the joy she gave to all that loved her. I also would love to use the flower heart pendant with a ribbon to tie onto a gift bag. Just beautiful!

  • 161 Vie // Apr 15, 2011 at 7:03 am

With a gift card like this I could splurge on quality products & materials making 2 breathtaking necklaces, one for my mother and my mother-in law.
My focal bead would be the Rectangle Black Onyx Dragonfly (Code: AB-AN4) this stunning pendant is flexible enough to wear anytime, to work, or special occasions with that little black dress (that everywoman has).

It could be attached to leather or silk but for my Mother’s Day Special. I would use the Gunmetal-Plated 3 Strand + 3 Link Chain (Code: BGMCH12)
Completed with a beautiful Gunmetal-Plated Pewter Star-Shaped Flower Toggle (Code: PGM-TOG014) this leafy toggle complements mother nature at it’s best with the dragonfly pendant
    Amazing!
