  1. The first jewelry piece I designed & made was my Ursa Major/Artemis bear pendant necklace made with brown & opaque white Agate nuggets & a bear pendant attached to a bail, all strung & crimped on beading wire. It felt really great to have made my first piece of jewelry! I was totally hooked & am now a complete Bead-aholic! 🙂

My first attempt was many years ago at the park during craft day…we made friendship bracelets…from there we started to put beads and bells on our runners…I then started to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces…now if I could only get the wrapped loop technique to work…tee her…I know practice practice practice !!

My first designs in beading were stretchy bracelets, made with cheap beads from a dept store. I eventually learned to crimp and attach a clasp, and those Quality cutters will come in handy.

I read an article in Threads magazine in the ’90s and beading became a “must”. They explained how to create a brick stitch amulet bag and I was on my way. They had no pattern included with the directions so I was on my own. Beading has become a substantial part of my life.

my first designs were the totally cool knotted sting friendship bracelets every girl in school had!

  3. My first design was a necklace, using letter beads that spelled my name. The only reason I know this is because it has been hanging around my parents’ house since then, for the past 20-ish years.
